A taste of our culture
Five generations ago, this community brought their rich Shuar culture and traditions from the Ecuadorian Amazon to the Ecuadorian Coast. Escaping war and turmoil in the Amazon, they found peace and a bountiful life here in Bucay, Ecuador besides the beautiful Río Limón.
The Shuar community have a rich history filled with centuries of folklore, rituals and tradition.
The families in Limón have opened their community to share their culture with you. Come visit us to learn more about the rich Shuar history, to experience a different perspective, and appreciate nature from the eyes of an indigenous community.
